Just last week, Mia Linnik-Holden (14) and Andrei Toader (15) were out on the Streets of Middleton with the Rotary Christmas Float bringing cheer to local children and helping to raise funds for local community groups.
Last weekend, they were in Paris competing in the Under 16 Ballroom World Championships, and emerged as World Champions.
Mia and Andreis association with Rotary Middleton began three years ago when they applied through the clubs Dragons Den scheme for support funding to help them with travel costs to the various competitions they needed to enter held all-across Europe.
Mia and Andrei attend the same school in Middleton. Andrei has been adopted by Mias family so that he and Mia can train together (Andreis family live in Romania). So term time is an incredibly busy time making sure school studies do not suffer as they pursue their dancing ambitions.
