Thank you to Liz Pinkey @alsagercommunitysupport for showing Alsager Satellite around the support centre.
"What an amazing facility we have in Alsager all run by a fantastic group of very knowledgable volunteers. From some of the profits from the Beer and Gin Festival we were very happy to give Liz a cheque for £500 to continue the good work.
The support centre is currently running a Christmas Toy Appeal. If you could buy an extra toy or gift to give to a child whose family is going through a difficult time in Alsager and surrounding areas please drop it in to the Community Support Centre. It will be greatly appreciated."
Alsager Satellite is a new type of Rotary club. The club is made up of a group of enthusiastic and dynamic people, who want to give something back to the community that they live in, whilst meeting new people and having a good time. Its not aiming to replace the more traditional Alsager Rotary nor compete with other local clubs such as Round Table, Lions or Ladies Circle- just to give another option for local people who want to get involved.
Meetings are informal and almost always held in the pub. The aim is to meet a couple of times a month (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) but attendance is not essential as the club aims to be as flexible and accessible to its members as possible.
