A place where hospital patients travelling from the Isle of Man by air can relax and draw breath before making their journey has been opened at Ronaldsway Airport.
The initiative, organised by the local Breast Cancer Support Group was supported with a substantial donation of £1,000 by the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann.
Club President, Paul Winnell commented it was a pleasure to support such a worthy cause, one that will take the stress out of travel for so many hospital patients.
Members of the Rotary Club, Richard Hetherington, John Lindon, Steph Lowe and Roger Barrs were in attendance when the Quiet Room was opened officially by the Islands Infrastructure Minister, Ray Harmer MHK on Monday 16th October 2017.
