Walkden Rotary Club held a Citizenship Day, including 4 local schools: St. Ambrose Barlow, Walkden High, Moorside High and Bridgewater Independent (Worsley). Topics included Environment (green issues), Global Issues, Juvenile crime, Drug & Alcohol Abuse, Brexit. Workshops commenced and presentations were made by the school children and Trophies were awarded. Citizenship is such an important part of the National Curriculum. Observing the school children today, we should have every confidence in their future. Pictured with the prize winners is Vice Lord Lieutenant of Manchester, Paul Griffiths.
