The Rotary Club of Hyde have a new President and Vice President, retired local business man Alan Oldham accepted the Presidential chain of office from outgoing President Kevin Maddox
at a lavish celebration dinner held at The Oaklands Hall Hyde on Thursday 29th June.
Just before the new Presidents address Dr Vik Tanna PHF gave a vote of thanks to and then paid tribute to Kevin explaining what a busy and successful year he had led the club through some difficult times, helping the club turn the corner and increase its membership. Concluding his speech Dr Tanna announced that Kevin had been recognised by the club for his superb contribution in the last 15 months and was delighted to present him with a Paul Harris Sapphire.
The Club is in its 80th year and 65 guests including Alans close family and friends and members from the Rotary clubs of Tameside and Glossop attended the dinner.
Alan who has been a Rotarian for 5 years commented the club would continue to support local and International community projects, Polio eradication and Rotary International
