The Rotary St Helens successful Global Grant application is underway - it will Establish an orthopaedic workshop to provide services to the Jairos Jiri Association homes for disabled children in Harare and to work closely with the St. John Ambulance Zimbabwe organisation.
The programme involves the training of personal to run the workshop who would be in the employ of Jairos-Jiri Association, Harare. The Vocational Training Team will also train carers and professionals in the care and aid of the disabled. Once established the workshop will, in addition to assembling wheelchairs, also repair, modify, recycle and build specialist equipment.
