Altrincham Rotary Club organised a Charity Spring ball on Thursday 27th April at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham. Nearly 90 people booked for this excellent evening. A four course meal was laid on with pre-dinner drink included. Music and dancing to Soul Provider an excellent ten piece band, who played until 2330pm and great MC/DJ Phil Wood a local radio celebrity.
There were over 30 prizes to be won in a raffle including a FREE car for a weekend including fuel and insurance from RRG Altrincham who provide a Toyota C-HR for the raffle. Also a luxury 3 bedroom villa in Cyprus, jewellery provided by Randalls Altrincham, worth over £400, which went to one lucky lady. Many other excellent prizes were provided by local businesses in Altrincham.
The idea was to raise funds for three local charities The Family and Counselling Centre Altrincham, who supply support for families who need help, Altrincham in Bloom, who provide the planters and plants flowers throughout Altrincham and area, and our very own Rotary charity "purple4polio".
Guests were also given goody bags with vouchers worth £40 for dry cleaning from Faddies Hale, and shoe repairs from Timpson, plus travel goods from Ken Garrity Travel.
The evening was a success and monies raised was in excess of £3000 which will be distributed later.
