Storm Doris raged through the town, causing havoc when we attempted to promote Rotary & Purple4Polio at the Runcorn Railway Station on 23 February. Due to the closure of the West Coast line and wind whipping through the waiting room we had to abandon.
We revisited recently and were made very welcome by Cheryl Gumbs and her Virgin team. The day went well, raising awareness of the Club and £55.25 towards Polio Eradication. In addition, we had 2 displays of the purple crocus at Runcorn Town Hall
