The President of Altrincham Rotary Club, Stephen Woods, has awarded thank you certificates to some of the stores, shops and individuals that supported the most successful toys and tins collection run by the Altrincham Rotary Club.
All toys and tins donated and collected in the campaign - which covered shops in Altrincham, Timperley, Hale and Sale - were delivered to the Salvation Army in Sale and then distributed to families whose children would not normally receive a present on Christmas morning.
Event organiser Ken Garrity, of Altrincham Rotary Club, said: "Thanks to the generosity of local people we managed to collect almost 3000 toys and lots of tins for the appeal, which lasted over several weeks."
