James E. Brown from Denton arrived in late August 2021 to the University of Michigan as a Global Grant Scholar sponsored by the Tameside Rotary Club.
James was hosted by the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor and thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to pursue his Master of Law (LLM) degree at the University of Michigan Law School. He had already completed his Bachelor of Law in this country.
The prestigious Law School Graduation was on Friday 6th May at Hill Auditorium.
James is most interested in Human Rights and Refugee Affairs. He was impressed with the many international scholars that taught classes at the University of Michigan Law School. James has been offered an internship with the United Nations in Geneva this summer. In Autumn of 2022, he will pursue a post graduate program at the London School of Economics.
Tameside Rotarians Peter Holden (Secretary 2021) and Cliff Hall (Foundation Chair) had the pleasure to spend time with James on 17th August 2021 before he headed over to Michigan, and were impressed to hear firsthand, the excellent opportunities provided by the Rotary International Global Grant Program.
James is a fine young man with a bright future ahead of him. Tameside Rotary International and Foundation Chair Cliff Hall said It was our privilege to sponsor such a worthy and talented young man and Tameside Rotary wish James all the best for the future
