New Life Church Nursery entered Rotary-Congleton's Bikeathon and their young cyclists aged from 2 to 4 years old, raised £644!
The teachers set up a cycle track using road cones in the quad, and around 20 of the children, togged up in their hi-vis vests and wearing their cycling helmets, rode to raise money. They were sponsored generously, by parents and friends.
The money raised is divided between Rotary's own deserving causes locally, and New Life Nursery's own project. They are planning to create a sensory room for all the children, but particularly for their youngsters with special needs.
Bikeathon, in its first year, has so far raised over £5,000 for Rotary and for the good causes nominated by the teams that entered.
