Our club has tried to stay active during lockdown and has kept busy by working on our Sensory Garden, running Zoom meetings including Club Council meetings, Bingo sessions and quizzes together with talks and lectures.
Our club newsletter that has been published throughout lockdown and has reached 44 editions containing RIBI and club updates along with articles that have hopefully appealed to most members.
In the absence of any public events we ran a Xmas present project for the elderly and lonely people in Alsager and had a major involvement in the Alsager Community care projects delivering toys and shoe box presents to local children and senior citizens.
The Christmas Gift Bags funded by the club and supported by individual members, distributed bags to over 130 children who had been supported by the Alsager Food Bank throughout the year. Members of the club supported the Alsager Community Support Centre by organising, sorting, and distributing over 1000 toys to some 200 children from 90 families from Alsager and surrounding areas.
