On Monday 15th February, Tameside Rotary Vice President, Angela Robbins delivered a Robotic Cat to Daisy Nook Care Home where she received a warm welcome.
The robotic cats have been such a popular and welcome gift to the care homes in Tameside. The cats are so soft and move and purr and meow to the sound of your voice and touch giving dementia patients comfort and company.
On Shrove Tuesday, John McMillan from the Tameside Rotary Robotic Cat Campaign and Tameside Rotary President Elect and PR Chair Angela Robbins presented a silver cat to Downshaw Lodge Activity Co-ordinator Adrianna Barker who was very grateful. We have nicknamed this cat 'Pancake', but not sure the residents will want to keep such a wacky name!
Downshaw Lodge Care Home have 45 male only residents. As John said 'That's another cat flipped for Pancake Day, but it, of course, has landed on its feet!.
