Douglas Rotary are one of the few Clubs in the British Isles still able to meet on a regular basis - face to face. Due to the Isle of Man Government making the decision to close our borders very early in the pandemic we remain Covid free and therefore the pubs and clubs are open, the Theatre is open with local groups performing plays and musicals, gymns are open and there are no two metre rules or groups of six.
Last Sunday the Island held their annual Memorial Services and Douglas President Mike Percival was proud to be able to lay a wreath on behalf of his Club and on behalf of all the clubs unable to take part in the services up and down the British Isles.
In 2024 Douglas Club will be celebrating its centenary and are currently examining a variety of ideas to celebrate the anniversary and leave a lasting contribution to life on the Isle of Man.
