Successful winners in the Wigan Rotary Dragons Den were given a bonus this week thanks to Wigan Borough Community Partnership and Wigan Borough Community Partnership.
In the recent successful virtual Dragons Den organised by Wigan Rotary Club, the winners received a donation from the club to help community organisations who were planning to restart meeting to purchase thermometers, hand sanitiser etc. Thanks to a donation of masks, gloves and aprons from Wigan Borough Community Partnership arranged by Wigan Rotary Club, the groups received a supply of items free of charge.
Wigan Rotary President Rosemary Charles was very grateful to the Community Partnership for the donation and said I know how much the groups have appreciated these additional items which saves them having to buy them and another drain on their funds
Trevor Barton, Chairman of Wigan Borough Community Partnership explained. We were kindly given a bulk supply of masks, gloves and aprons by Wigan Council to enable us to help any community group wrere in need and Im delighted that via Wigan Rotary Club we have been able to help so many groups.
The groups who have received a free donation were:-
Age UK, Brighter Orrell, Shevington Gardening Club, Young Persons Centre
Wigan Rovers FC, Bispham Methodist Church, St Aidans Brownies, and Wigan Cosmos FC,
