Today the 24th October is World Polio Day and a Rotary Purple 4 Polio day.
To help promote this and Celebrate that the World Health Organisation announcing Africa being Wild Polio Free Rushen & Western Mann purchased 4000 Purple Crocus to be planted in the Millennium garden in Port St Mary assisted by all the children at Scoill Phurt Le Moirrey and a plaque will be placed there to commemorate this.
The Global Polio Eradication Initiative is an important part of our Rotary internationals scheme. Rotary International has contributed over £1.6 Billion to fight Polio around the world with Celebrities including Bill Gates, Kristen Bell, Jackie Chan and Donald Sutherland all helping to raise money and awareness for this cause. Rushen & Western Mann has continually contributed to this cause
