The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle are aware that the East Cheshire Hospice needs help now more than ever.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, and following Government guidance, the local Hospice and community support groups have had to cancel fundraising events. This raises real concerns about what this could mean to the vital Hospice Care in the future.
Throughout the year, local Macclesfield people generously support the many fundraising events organised by Rotary members, who in turn are keen to support the local community including our local hospice.
Carley Macey, Community Fundraiser at East Cheshire Hospice added: The Hospice appreciates the support of our wonderful community now more than ever. Without these kind and generous donations, from people like the Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle, we wouldnt be able to continue to provide our vital services to our local community.
Incoming Rotary President Chris Watson said: We are delighted, thanks to the generosity of local people, to be able to give a donation of £500 to East Cheshire Hospice to support their wonderful work, especially in these challenging and difficult times. The care, comfort and compassionate support provided by the staff at the Hospice for patients and their loved ones is outstanding and Rotary wishes to contribute in a small way.
