The Rotary Club of Wigan has been supporting the young carers in the Borough for many years by giving around 20 children a fun day out during the summer holidays.
The Club decided that during this difficult and scary time we needed to try and offer some more support for this group of brave young children during lock-down. Thanks to matched funding from Wigan Council Brighter Borough the team from WLYC have been able to supply each young carer with a wellbeing bag full of exciting activities.
The Rotary Club recognises the importance of young people who are at home caring for members of their families.
Volunteers distributed the bags and the team received many thanks including the following
