After Clubs had collected their Purple for Polio Jam there were still over 400 jars remaining being the allocations for clubs who decided not to bother in this initiative.
Never wishing to see anything go to waste PDG Chris Boyes collected around 250 and has been drip feeding them into local foodbank collections. As its Best Before date approached he faced a problem.
What to do with the last 96 jars !
Then the virus crisis hit so the obvious solution was to take them to the Foodbanks Central store where they were gratefully received and by now may well already have been distributed�
