Altrincham Rotary have been busy planting crocus corms in conjunction with Altrincham in Bloom for 'purple4polio' .
The campaign highlights the fact that polio has nearly been eradicated worldwide and less than 100 people affected from thousands per year when the campaign started in 1985.
Crocus corms were planted last year from Altrincham Interchange , Four Seasons walk by Tesco and ending at Sainsburys wall on Lloyd Street.
Ken Garrity from Altrincham Rotary is delighted that the crocus brighten up some of the sites and brings a splash of colour to areas.
