The President, accompanied by Rtn. Ted Walmsley and Rtn. Philip Sudworth, recently made a visit to Derian House Childrens Hospice. They went to present the donations from members who gave via the Wigan Rotary Club Christmas Card which they contributed to in lieu of individual cards, together with the annual donation from the Community Service Committee.
Mick Crosbery, Community Fundraiser writes I just wanted to thank you for coming in yesterday, it was great to see you all and it was a pleasure to show you around the revamped Hospice. Without the kind donations from people like yourselves we just simply wouldnt be able to offer our services, and that is a fact.
President Mervyn commented on what wonderful additions had been made to Derian House and how much the children there would benefit. It was a very enjoyable and rewarding visit.
