At the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann, we are all as dedicated to raising funds for Rotary Foundation and its projects today as we have been over the last 45 years. We fully support the worldwide work of Rotary and hope that, because of this project's wider community benefits, Rotary International will assist with its funding. Since 1973, as proud 'People of Action', we have raised more than £50,000 for Rotary Foundation, and in the last 12 years have donated over £184,000 to good causes (including Rotary and Polio Plus).
At the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann, we want to construct a viewing platform and upgrade access to the site at Bradda Glen. The viewing platform and path will enable everyone to enjoy this beautiful spot, including people in wheelchairs and families with young children in pushchairs. Reinforced glass screening around the platform will offer unimpeded views to everyone.
After one of our club members, (a quantity surveyor), had presented a revised scope of this project. It was decided the project can now be delivered in a phased manner that matches appropriate funds and the club will soon be submitting the planning application for local approval. Keep a look out for more updates.
