Rotary-Congleton members turned out in force to assist the Town Council with crowd control at an event that packed the town centre for the turn-on of the Christmas lights on Saturday, November 23rd.
Whilst John Gauld was the event photographer, Doug Parker has compered the event for many years and put on a personal performance lasting 6 hours! Congleton Town Council published many of our photos on their Facebook page and said 'Thanks Rotary we really appreciated and needed your help!'
Rotary also used its influence with Father Christmas, aka President Rod Goodier, to ensure that he turned up to help with proceedings.
