The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle held the 44th Annual Charities Bazaar in St Michael and All Angels Church. This annual Charities Bazaar supports the work of many local charities providing a venue for the charities to raise funds. There were 32 stalls hosting many local charities.
Several thousand pounds were raised in total by the charities involved this year. Mary Grant, Rotary President, said: Rotary are delighted to provide an opportunity for so many local charities to raise much needed funds to support their wonderful work. The event was well attended, and local people were able to do some early Christmas shopping and enjoy a drink in the café. Thank you to local residents for coming along and supporting the local charities, to Rotarian Bob Bracegirdle and team for the months of preparation and to members of ROAR for helping Rotary with the distribution of leaflets on the day.
Bob has already booked the 2020 event for the same weekend.
The Girlguiding group leader Helena White said: The Girl guides had an amazing time at the Bazaar. We met some lovely people and raised a fair amount of money for our Project trip to Nepal in 2021.
