The month of August was a busy one for the Rotary Club of Manchester.
One of the highlights was the presentation by PP Robin Graham on the completion of the WOW Project, supported by The Rotary Foundation and The Rotary Club of Manchester. From drinking from a dirty pond to now having clean water coming from four polytanks, connected to the water main from the local town, the people of the village of Fievie Dugame, Ghana, now can drink water without worry.
Implementation was supported by Kids Foundation Inc and the Rotary Club of Ho Ghana, and they are now providing training to the WATSAN (Water and Sanitation Committee) of Fievie to assist in keeping the water flowing.
This has been a great project for our club, and we will continue to help the community. Our first project will be aiding in setting up a farm for women using microfinancing.
