Newest Turton rotarian Chris Hill spent a fascinating evening at the l Deniz Rotary Kulb,Turkey, recently. The host club was very hospitable, friendly and welcoming to Chris, as an Rotary international member and guest of the club.
He shared Turton Rotary's projects, and in particular, they loved the idea of the Duck Race and may use it themselves to fundraiser for a wheelchair for a 10 year old boy with a terminal diagnosis.
Chris was presented with a lapel pin saying in Turkish Rotary Dunyayi Birlestirir which translates Rotary Unites the World by the club president and invited back next year.
What a start to Chris's rotary career, the club's first international visit for over a year, spreading Turton Rotary's message internationally.
Chris is pictured after receiving a lapel pic from the Olu Deniz Rotary Club president.
