On the 29th March 2019 nine teams from three secondary schools in the Glossop District came together at Longdendale School to compete in the Rotary 2019 Technology Challenge.
The teams were required to construct an electrically powered crane to recover a radioactive vessel from a minimum safe distance and return it to the decontamination area whilst negotiating a low bridge.
The winners for 2019 were Glossopdale School's team nine.
The winners will each receive a Raspberry Pi Zero W starter kit and our Technology Cup
The runners up for 2019 were Longdendale Colleges team two
The runners up will each receive an Argos gift voucher
Our thanks go to Miss Francis at Longdendale College for hosting the event and Mrs Ryan, Glossopdale School, and Mr Greenwood, St Philip Howard School for entering such enthusiastic teams.
PS Glossop Rotary are hosting a 60,000 meal pack at Glossopdale School
