Last week Stockport Lamplighter hosted twenty guests who had opened their gardens for the annual Heatons Open Gardens day in May, organised by Carol Cross. They were treated to a regal buffet followed by a Powerpoint presentation of the gardens delivered with a great deal of humour and panache by Clyde Raine.
Towards the end of the evening two new members were inducted into the Club and cheques for a thousand pounds each presented to the Alex Hulme Foundation and Kidneys for Life from programme sales.
Lamplighter also received over £1,500 to be used for charities of their choice throughout the year. Over £4,000 was also raised for various charities by the individual gardens on the day. And what a wonderful day it was !
A huge thank you to all who supported us.
