The glorious sounds of a top Brass Band and leading vocalist filled The Victoria Hall in Bolton in aid of Rotary Charities.

This event presented a rare opportunity to hear one of the world’s finest bands playing some of the world’s most popular music from the twentieth century.

Foden’s Band are presently the National Champions of Great Britain and brought with them award winning vocalist Matt Ford, widely regarded as one of the finest big band singers in the UK, and guest trumpeter Mike Lovatt.

It was a first for the Rotary Clubs of Wigan and Bolton Le Moors who came together to organise this unique night of ‘Sinatra and Swing’.
The evening, which attracted an audience of 500 was a resounding success generating a profit of some £3,000 which will be divided equally between the two clubs and will be used to help the communities of Wigan and Bolton in a variety of ways.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayors of both towns whose presence admirably demonstrated their support for the work of Rotary.

We offer our grateful thanks to everyone who helped in any way in ensuring such a successful and profitable evening.
