Wigan Rotary Club aims to launch a new group, a Satellite Group to meet in the evenings and/ or weekends to suit everybody and flexibility will be the keyword. Its a totally new concept to fit in and adapt to todays lifestyle.
Many will know about the work of Wigan Rotary Club and its dedication to fund raising activities - the Club collects at Christmas with Santa and his float around the streets of Wigan. But that is not all, its just one of many events throughout each year, so go to the Wigan Rotary website for examples of what the club has consistently achieved. You will be amazed, there is such a huge variety in what we do and its all great fun.
The group will operate as part of Wigan Rotary Club, choosing some of its own projects and working alongside existing members in current Rotary Club projects. The satellite group is hoping to attract new members, before the official launch in early July. Interested? - look at Wigan Rotary Club's website, where you will find a number to ring and an email address; or come to the next meeting of the group on Friday 22nd March at The Brocket, Haigh Suite, Mesnes Road, Wigan from 7pm.
The Rotary Club of Wigans aims and ideals are to support the local Community, local, national and international Charities, our precious Environment and our local Cultural activities through sponsorship of various events. We aim to give back where ever and whenever, as a token of appreciation to the people of Wigan who loyally support our work by putting their hands in their pockets at every opportunity.
Come along to give something back and be part of shaping this exciting new group! You will be very welcome and you wont regret it.
