Following the success of the 2018 book event, Rotary Eccles ran another Book Bonanza on March 2nd to coincide with World Book Day on the 7th.
The event was held in one of the empty units in Eccles Shopping Centre and along with free book distribution for children, there was face-painting and crafts.
We were also joined by Worsley Rotarian Audrey Othick from the Imagination Library who entertained children with stories and encouraged some parents with advice on reading with their children.
This was a true community & vocational service project with support from Rotarians who work with children and over 260 books, mainly brand new, were given away.
