With an ever growing demand from the children of Biddulph, and the growing size of the town, Rotary has had to call in additional help from a number of local groups to ensure that Santa completes his rounds of the town.

To thank these groups, Rotary invited representatives from all those that helped with Santa's rounds, to their meeting, on 28th January, for a meal and to receive donations to their charities. The total monies collected last Christmas was £5182, plus an amount that was collected with the sleigh in Sainbury's car park. This is counted by Sainsbury's, and the Sainsbury's collection total will not be known or available for donations until later this year. John also thanked the people of Biddulph for their giving so generously to Rotary's charities.

Following the donations, the groups were invited to stay for a talk by Ray Perry, Chairman of the Rudyard Lake Trust, who gave an interesting talk about the history of Rudyard lake and its facilities. In thanking Mr. Perry, President John made a donation to the Trust.
