Santa and his Sleigh arrived at Biddulph Town Hall, escorted by members of Biddulph Rotary Club, at 6.00 pm on Saturday, 24th November after the Christmas lghts are switched on, and went to his temporary grotto in the Town Hall, where children were to talk to him.
A small group of Rotarians have been hard at work during the last few weeks, repairing the damage from last winters outing and making a few improvements to the design of the sleigh. The ladies of Biddulph Inner Wheel have also been busy ensuring that the interior of the sleigh is attractively decorated and in pristine condition.
Starting on Tuesday 27th November, the Rotary Club will be taking Santa and his sleigh to visit children in Biddulph, between 6.00pm and 8.15pm on weekday evenings. Because of traffic problems it will not be possible to visit every road; so the sleigh will be stopping at strategic points at the ends of some roads. The itinerary will be published in the local press and copies will be available at the Town Hall, on display in the town and on the Rotary Biddulph web site. www.biddulphrotaryclub.co.uk
Santa and the Sleigh will be in the Town centre on Saturday 1st, 9th and 15th December at Wetherspoons, between 10 am and 1.0 pm.
The sleigh will also be in Sainsburys car park from 10.00 am to 4 pm on Wednesday through Friday December 19th to 21st, and on Saturday 22nd from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The members of the Rotary Club would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Biddulph for their generous donations to local charities, via the Rotary collections, in previous years and wish you all a very happy Christmas
