L to R Dr Lynn Sbaihb( Chair ) Mary Edwards (Manager ) Clyde Raine ( President )
Stockport Lamplighter recently had the privilege of hearing how some of their donated money is spent when the Chair and Manager of Stockport Mental Health Advocacy spoke to the club about some of their projects.
Although initially set up to enable people to access information and services whilst exercising their rights the Management soon realised that their was a dire need for some of their clients to meet together in an informal setting with like minded people.
Money from charities such as Lamplighter have helped them do this by helping pay room hire and heating charges, thus encouraging young adults to come out of isolation and meet others socially.
All members present were delighted with the way money was being spent and that it was having such a great impact on the lives of young adults in the Borough.
