Members of the Rotary Club of Astley have been assisting St. Ambrose Barlow R.C. Primary School. The Club's latest project is to assist in improving a garden, with the purchase and installation of planters, along with 2 tons of top soil, to provide a raised garden, for pupils to be able to plant and tend to roses.
In other news, the Rotary Club of Astley held their annual Handover evening at the Greyhound Hotel, Leigh. Outgoing President Derek Ratcliffe handed over the chains of office to incoming President, Trevor Barton MBE. This will be Trevor's third term as President of the club.
