The Rotary Club of Tyldesley with Atherton continue to support brilliant groups in the local community by very proudly sponsoring a new team kit for a local girls football team, the Hindsford Hurricanes. The team contacted the club asking for help and the Rotary were happy to support.
Emma Wilcock, Manager of the team said, 'Hindsford Hurricanes are the only girls team at Hindsford AFC and we play in the South Manchester girls league and as from September we will be playing 11 aside U/14s (year 8/9). We are also looking for additional sponsors to enable our pitches / welfare facilities meet the necessary standards .'
The girls also very kindly donated a huge bundle of cuddly toys to support another worthy cause, Makants Greyhound Rescue who are having a family fun day and dog show in Tyldesley on Sunday 24th June.
