Nine year old Riley Jones is getting on his bike to raise money for Prostate Cancer Research at Christies in memory of his grandad.
He will cycle round Three Sisters Race Track on Wednesday 6th June aiming to cover at least 10 km to raise as much money as possible. This is part of the free Family Cycle event organised by Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles and Wigan Council and is open to anyone who would like to bike round the track.
As part of the event Wigan Rotary Club have arranged for anyone who would like to raise money for such a worthwhile cause can join in.
Rileys mother Steph said "Were thrilled that Riley wants to do this in memory of his grandad who died three years ago after a long battle with prostate cancer. He was such a large part of our family and was originally given six months to live, but after benefitting from the skill and dedication of the staff at Christies survived for six years."
