The five Salford Rotary Clubs have joined together for the first time and have committed to a new Community project ' Let's Hear Salford ' trying to help the estimated 100,000 people with Hearing Loss in Salford.
The project is engaging with shops, offices, public buildings, chemists, supermarkets, banks and many others to see if installed Induction Loops are working properly.
Surveys in many parts of the U.K. indicate only 90% are operational and staff knowledge is minimal. Rotary are looking for volunteers to assess and discuss with both premises and those with Hearing Loss how to improve this situation.
