Twelve Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Rochdale East visited MB Recycling Consultants Ltd in Heywood for a guided tour in January.
Frank Hauxwell, Secretary at Rotary Club of Rochdale East, said: Twelve gentleman visited MB Recycling from our Rotary Club and we were all very impressed with the extent of the work going on.
The professionalism of the team was outstanding, and it is such a sophisticated process that they carry out.
The waste that comes and then is recycled and linked to customers is very skilful. The company can tie the links together very carefully.
One process which was of particular interest was taking strips of copper out of cable sheets which are then re-used to produce traffic cones for a business in Heywood.
I think Maxine is a very skilful network worker because she has assembled a great team and they are still expanding.
We really enjoyed the day.
Maxine Brown, Managing Director of MB Recycling, said: When the Rotary Club of Rochdale East visited I showed them around and it was a really good day.
MB Recycling Consultants Ltd opened in September 2017 with the aim to reduce the amount of plastic waste going to landfill or exported to China.
The plant recycles waste plastic from local businesses within the region to help with their recycling targets and zero waste to landfill policies.
MB Recycling has strong links to an extensive network of plastic recyclers within the UK, and offers a range of recycling services including shredding and granulating, and a plastic ID service that enables identification of plastic waste - send a sample and MB Recycling can advise on the type and the best way to recycle it.
